The fairy tale of GoldenSchnatz

Once upon a time, there was an electric car enthusiast named Felix who lived in a small village surrounded by forests and meadows. He drove a beautiful blue Tesla Roadster, with which he had already experienced many adventures, but whose battery was slowly getting old. One day, while Felix was driving through the forest, a bright ray of light suddenly shone between the trees.

Curious, he stopped and got out of his car. Before him appeared a radiant figure with shimmering wings and a friendly smile. “Dear Felix,” said the figure, “I am the fairy godmother of electric mobility, and I have seen how loyal you are to your Roadster. That is why I would like to grant you three wishes!”

Felix, completely overwhelmed, thought for a moment. “I wish that I could keep my roadster for a long time to come,” he finally said. “It brings me a lot of joy, and I’m very attached to it.” The fairy nodded with a smile and snapped her fingers. “Your wish is granted!”

Felix was relieved, and he made his second wish. “I want my roadster to be lighter. It would be so much easier to drive.” The fairy flicked her fingertips again, and a gentle breeze blew through the forest. “Your roadster will be 330 pounds lighter, just as you wished!”

Felix was thrilled and thought carefully about what his final wish should be. Finally, he said, “I wish I could charge at normal charging stations. Sometimes it’s difficult to charge the Roadster on the road.”

The fairy smiled again and snapped her fingers a third time. “Your wish is granted!” With the last sparkle of her magical energy, she handed Felix a new battery, which she called GoldenSchnatz. “This battery will work wonders!” she said. “With it, your Roadster will drive faster than ever before, and you’ll even be able to charge it at the Supercharger!”

Felix happily accepted the GoldenSchnatz and had it installed in his roadster. When he drove it for the first time afterwards, he was amazed. His beloved vehicle accelerated effortlessly and practically floated over the roads. The other roadster drivers looked at him with admiration, and soon they came to ask him about his secret.

In a blink of an eye, news of the Golden Schnatz spread among Tesla Roadster fans, and soon everyone wanted a battery like the GoldenSchnatz.
Felix and his blue Roadster, however, were happy and content, and if they haven’t died, they are still driving around the world with the GoldenSchnatz today.

The innovative replacement battery for the Tesla Roadster

What sounds like a fairy tale today could become reality for you and your Roadster! We at Mars Orbiter have been searching for a battery solution for the Tesla Roadster for a long time and can now offer you a new and improved battery with the GoldenSchnatz© .

The GoldenSchnatz© can be installed in the original Roadster housing. It contains cells that differ significantly from the original equipment, plus its own battery management system with an emulator for communication with the vehicle.

Tesla’s previous replacement battery, the R80, has a capacity of 80 kWh, but this cannot really be utilized effectively due to the charge inverter and on-board balancing. As a result, the battery can age extremely quickly, making new problems inevitable.

The GoldenSchnatz© has less capacity than the original battery (48 kWh instead of the original just below 55 kWh). However, the new cells are significantly more powerful and deliver enough power even under higher loads to produce a stable, continuous sine wave in the inverter. This makes the vehicle run much more efficiently and economically.

In addition, the GoldenSchnatz© is around 330 weight pounds lighter than the original battery. So the Roadster drives better, is more efficient, and, as the icing on the cake, offers the option of recharging at any Supercharger or highway fast charger with 56 kW. It also has an additional CCS port in the trunk next to the PEM.
