Electric among classic cars
Once again, we were present at the Herkules Mountain Race this year with two Roadsters serving as security vehicles and our trailer. We used the trailer several times to transport broken-down vehicles back to the starting point.
Although our Roadsters were the youngest “classics” at the race, they weren’t the only electric vehicles. The Herkules Racing Team from the University of Kassel also participated with a small team and a self-built vehicle. For 14 years, racing cars for the international design and construction competition Formula Student have been planned and built at the University of Kassel, with electric drive since 2018. The vehicles are named after figures from Greek mythology in reference to their namesake, Hercules. Sustainability is an important topic for the team, especially the sensible use of resources, the use of new materials, and the reuse of old components. By switching to electromobility, the Hercules Racing Team is making a clear commitment to the future.
