Frequently asked questions
Can I bring my own spare parts?
No. We only fit original spare parts.
Customers often ask whether they can bring their own spare parts for their vehicle to save money. Especially with purchases from the internet, however, the risk is particularly high that you end up with inferior components or counterfeit products. Even if you buy an original part from a scrapyard, we won't fit it — we have no way of knowing how much life the part has left, or whether it even works.
This also makes sense for you as a customer: if the supposed bargain doesn't fit or doesn't work, you would have to cover all the extra costs that result — taking the part back out, reassembling the vehicle, and so on. And even if a part will probably fit your car, we can only guarantee our own work, not the spare part itself. So if damage occurs later, you as the customer are left paying for it. That's why we only use original parts.
What about vehicles from EVUM?
We no longer provide support for EVUM vehicles. Production and service have been relocated to the Czech Republic. Local customer service for these vehicles continues to be offered via the website of EVUM Motors Czech Republic.
Does the battery in an EV need servicing?
The battery itself in an EV is maintenance-free. During an inspection, however, we do check the battery management system, the wiring, the high-voltage systems and the liquid cooling system.
Where can I safely store my Tesla Roadster over winter?
If needed, you can leave your Roadster to overwinter in our frost-free hall under constant charge monitoring. It stays frost-free there from November to March — a battery that slowly drains over winter in a cold garage otherwise suffers damage. On request, we can collect the vehicle and bring it back in spring, fully checked over.
Where can I store my summer/winter wheels?
We have optimal storage conditions here (dry, cool, out of direct sunlight) and store your wheel sets for you. All you need to do is arrange an appointment for the wheel change. No more lugging tyres around, and you finally have more space in your cellar or garage. When you bring your vehicle in, we check the condition and tread depth of the tyres, so you keep the right grip in every driving situation.
