Electric among classic cars 2025
Electric among classic cars
At the Herkules mountain race we were present again this year with two Roadsters as security vehicles and our transporter. The trailer was needed several times to bring broken-down vehicles back to the start.
Our Roadsters were by far the youngest “classics” on site, but not the only electric vehicles at the race. The Herkules Racing Team of the University of Kassel was also competing, with a small crew and a vehicle of its own design. For 14 years now, racing cars for the international design and engineering competition Formula Student have been planned and built at the University of Kassel, since 2018 with electric drive. In a nod to their namesake Herkules, the vehicles are named after figures from Greek mythology. Sustainability plays an important role in the team — above all the sensible use of resources, the use of new materials and the reuse of old components. With the switch to electric mobility, the Herkules Racing Team is making a clear commitment to the future as well.
